SOLABROS.com are brothers. Born and raised in the urban neighborhood of Mandaluyong City, Philippines, they are the children of multi-talented, multi awarded musician Jerome Abalos. Jerome was the singer behind the monster hit song “Larawang Kupas.” He was also the co-founder and front man of the 90s thrash metal band “Death By Stereo” and progressive rock band “Majesty.”

Jerome Abalos released 3 solo albums and 2 studio albums with his band. Death by Stereo’s self titled debut album was certified gold record while his solo self-titled debut album featuring the monster hit song, LARAWANG KUPAS, was a certified platinum.

Nurtured by music from the moment they were conceived, Sean, Zack, and Shane grew up with the melodic sound of the keyboards, the ripping sound of heavy metal guitar solos, and the thunder-like beat of drums and percussions. Raised and mentored by a multi-talented, multi genre musical artist of a father and fueled by their mutual interest in rock and roll, heavy metal, progressive rock, and alternative rock, Solabros.com can be considered as one of the rising stars in the Philippines, be it local or in international music scene.

The band was formed in 2015 by singer, songwriter, and keyboard player Sean Abalos and his younger brother, lead guitarist and singer Zachary Jeymz. From the moment Sean and Zack held their instruments and started playing, it was clear that they had a future in the local and international music scene. The band was soon joined by the band’s drummer Shane Steven, the youngest of the Abalos brothers, who gave the band his powerful Lars Ulrich-like drumming style. “Initially, we just wanted to be a band,” recalled Sean. “But when Shane officially joined us and started making all those power beats and double basses, our paradigm shifted and our aspiration changed overnight. We now wanted, not just to
be any band, we now wanted to be among the best bands locally and overseas.”

Though with different personalities, Sean, Zack, and Shane’s talents blended and clicked. In 2016, Solabros.com joined their first “Battle of the Bands,” their first public appearance. Since then, the trio had regular gigs in several bars in Manila and Luzon.

Sean Francis Abalos (vocals, keyboards) 
He is currently finishing his bachelor’s degree at Jose Rizal University in Mandaluyong City. 

After harnessing his God-given singing talent, Sean was trained on keyboardsand has been loving his new skill ever since.

Zachary Jeymz Abalos (guitars, vocals) 
He was exposed to music at a very young age. He is a currently in junior high school. 

With the encouragement of his dad, Zack trained himself to play the guitar, starting with acoustic, he leveled up almost overnight and has since mastered the electric guitar.

At only 16 years old, and only a year of playing, Zack has become a guitar phenom. His skills were way beyond his years.










Shane Steven Abalos (drums, vocals) 
The youngest of the Abalos brothers. At 14 years old, Shane is currently a freshman in high school.

With his passion for drums and percussion, Shane was initially trained to play the drums by his father. Shane focused with his training and has dramatically improved his drums and vocals skills. 

At only 14 years old and
only a year of playing, Shane can now be considered a drummer par excellence.

After the successful night of the Powerhouse Concert, I still can't get enough of Michael Pangilinan it was kinda bitin lol! So if you want more of him or want to check out why I am raving about this young man, head on to his birthday concert.

He is currently busy preparing for his big day as it is said to be held at Rajah Sulayman Park in front of Malate Church in Malate, Manila. Michael is super excited for this concert since his proposed invited guests said yes and would join him on this very special day. So come one come all and celebrate real talent, I tell you, it will be worth it plus "kilig" bonus.

Marion Aunor And The Latest About Her

Marion Aunor once again will set the fire on stage at the 19 East Bar and Grill on Sunday October 16, 9pm for her Bar Concert Tour Entitled "Marion + Le Band" hosted by Ambet Nabus, with the special participation of Ash-Ash and Jeff Cifra plus the special guest Mr. Michael Pangilinan.

This is another well deserved project for a lovely lady who really has a talent in both singing and song writing, as we do the interview I can't help but be amazed by her passion in singing and admits she enjoys performing now because she can be who she is on stage and no she is not doing those overly sexy stuff, she just wants to be the kinda like "Selena Gomez" look. She already had about 50 compositions and started to sell a few already, one of which is Kathryn Bernardo's song entitled "You Don't Know Me".

Right now, Marion already have released her 2nd Album under Starmusic and almost all the songs were her compositions plus a number of nominations for the Star Awards. You see that is real talent here, we'll hope to see and hear more of Marion because she deserves every inch of recognition in the music industry.

Julie Anne San Jose Chasing The Light

The ever lovely Julie Anne San Jose is once again back with her latest self titled album entitled Julie Anne San Jose Chasing The Light. This album is composed of original songs composed by various composers some even are foreign composers. Julie Anne admits she will be very busy in the upcoming months to promote her album in different parts of the Philippines and is also set to have concert tours after.

In line with her busy schedule as an artist, Julie plans to hopefully pursue her masters degree but would have to wait till next year so she can finish all her commitments first. And of course we were curious about the status of her love life since she had been exchanging tweets with the very eligible and hot Benjamin Alves. Julie says, what they are on twitter is what you see and what you get, they jive in terms of their love for reading and they get along so well, no courting yet but when asked if ever, Julie says Ben has all the potential of a boyfriend kind of guy and her family approves of him as well. Let's leave them at that for now and wait if their friendship blossoms into a serious relationship, nakaka kilig lang if ever.

Michael Really Sounds Familiar The After Effect On Me

Define superb talent... Michael Pangilinan period. It was my first time to witness him sing live, upon entering the stage and he hit the first note, my heart melted. I feel his passion for every song, for every version he gives his all, this is one singer that music album producers should be eyeing on. I was blown away, that was the state of my mind while the concert was ongoing, I can't believe he has that very good voice aside from of course he was good looking. His fans were very supportive that I feel their love for Michael Pangilinan, his concert is an event worth your money, that is why I believe he has a solid following. The concert was just so chill, no dramas, no special effects, no buwis-buhay production numbers, just his voice and everyone was silenced to just listen and endure the love overflowing with every note that comes out of him.

The Michael Pangilinan concert may have been in a small venue like the Music Museum but I guess he deserves an Araneta type of stage. I am looking forward to more of him, of his voice, of his passion and sincerity. Yes I am now officially a Michael Pangilinan fan, and yes If he would have another concert I will make it sure to be there.

Julian Trono and his Wiki Me Single is now out!

When I had a glimpse of Julian Trono during the blogger's conference for his latest single Wiki Me, I thought to myself, k-pop? That was his vibe and looks like a legit Korean Artist, and it suits him well not trying hard plus the fact that he just came back from Korea. His latest single Wiki Me is now out and the music video is now being played on Myx.

We asked about his Korea experience and he said it didn't feel like he was working because he enjoyed his stay there and was very much accepted by the fans. But of course an interview will never be complete without some personal questions especially on the current status of his heart. Yes he is currently single and very much available but, we were shocked to know that if ever, he prefers someone older that him, maybe around 3 to 5 years from his age. We asked why and he said maybe because he wanted someone who is mature. Oh well, we all have preferences and if that is waht he wants, let's just give it to this cutie Korean looking young man.

His album is in the works and if given the chance to conceptualize his own, Julian said he wanted every single song to have a story, not just to have a song but something with a deeper meaning. Watch out for Julian Trono when he conquers the music scene one step at a time.

Julie Anne San Jose | Deeper

I was invited for an afternoon of Karaoke (Videoke) with the very beautiful and talented Julie Anne San Jose also known as @myjaps on her social media accounts. I already met her before, and seeing her once again made me realize that this young lady didn’t change a bit, she is still very warm and very accommodating, not a hint of showbiz attitude, maybe that’s why she is so blessed. 

Her latest album “Deeper” from GMA Records is another blessing, Julie admits that she usually has a hard time letting go of people that she’s been emotionally attached with, we joked if she could drop a name but she smilingly said that she doesn’t want to. But as I saw her that day, she was really now a very fine lady, and blooming too, when we asked why the very beautiful aura, she said maybe because she is now more mature. Yes dear friends Julie Anne San Jose will sure have more in the coming years, a very fine, talented and beautiful inside and out. Best of luck to your career and of course your album “Deeper”.
