SM Supermalls' made-for-digital Grandparents' Day video titled "#SMmoments presents 'Atat” has now reached 1.6 MILLION VIEWS and counting and has moved families on digital, most especially Lolos and Lolas, to "HAPPY TEARS" as they recalled their most memorable experiences together with their families and the indescribable joy when they learnt that they're gonna be grandparents for the first time and the unending love that they have for their family.
"This is so touching. I remember my daughter gave us an envelope before as a Christmas gift and inside the envelope was the ultra sound picture of the baby and written "Merry Christmas Lolo and Lola," shared by netizen Alfred Tatoy. "It was the happiest day of my life when i learn that i will be a lola already. It's almost the same story.
Good job, SM team!"
Like the grandparents, young couples can relate to the anticipation of the Lolo and Lola characters in the story.
"This made me cry but it's 'happy tears.' A new baby is really one of the best news newly married couples give to their parents," said Sheena Lazarus. "That's why the first grandchild is usually the luckiest in the family because he or she was long waited for."
There were also several netizens who expressed how much they miss their departed grandparents and the previous moments they had at their favorite SM malls.
For Lola Alma Ycong, she would miss her beloved this Grandparents' Day, "I was teary-eyed while watching the video because I remember my husband who is now in Heaven. He was the smartest and most loving Lolo to my 2 apos. We always had a grand time in SM City Cebu especially during Sundays. I miss him dearly!"

As the video concluded, “Celebrate the gift of life - the old and the new." This Grandparents' Day, let's make the hearts of Lolos and Lolas happy and truly appreciated. It's time to spoil them back with more memorable moments for them to treasure so #DateWithLoloAndLolaAtSM this September 10!

No matter how hard we try, keeping our clothes looking new is always a challenge. Regular wear and tear and the constant washing take a toll on the color and fabric, making our best clothes old-looking, its colors faded and at times, the stitching frayed.

Often, we blame it on the detergent or the way our clothes are handled when washed. However, what we may not know is that the washing machine we use may be one of the reasons our clothes age quickly.

With this, Beko, one of Europe’s most popular appliance brand, brings innovative laundry solutions with its advanced line of washing machines. Its innovative Aquawave™ Technology provide gentle yet effective washing conditions for all garments, making them last longer.

This breakthrough technology is inspired by nature as it replicates the gentle and effective power motion of waves that protect your clothes from wearing out.

The specially designed drum pattern gently carries the laundry away like a wave from the drum. Thus, garments move smoothly around the washing machine. Paddles with wave form also contribute to the gentle care of your laundry. Finally, the curve on the door glass provides more mixing effect by helping the laundry to move more easily. Thus, the need for energy is reduced.

“We understand how important it is for people to preserve their clothes. As a leading brand of home and lifestyle improvement solutions, Beko aims to be the official partner of the everyday by addressing the many needs of our customers,” said Dyeun Zapanta, Beko Philippines Sales, and Marketing Head. “Our innovative technologies are a result of our understanding of the needs of today’s consumers.”

Beko Philippines, on its second year, strengthens further its local presence. Since 2015, the company already doubled its distribution and tripled its sales through an enhanced and domineering product line that continuously meets the needs of the Filipino market.

I recently attended an event of a very interesting product; the Grayns Rice Cooker. I first asked how much it is offered and shocked about how it is priced. But during the media program, I started to understand why. There were demo units at the area and we were made to taste the rice cooked from this rice cooker. As a type 2 diabetic, this is perfect for me and my mom because it can cut down our starch intake. I also asked if it is easy to clean, it has more pieces than our regular rice cookers at home, but I think it is manageable and also easy to clean as well. I will probably recommend this to my mom and then will just borrow from her lol! Seriously it is expensive because it works and it is the first of its kind. Read more
below.

American Technogies, Inc. unveiled a revolutionary rice cooker that is the first of its kind—Grayns. The revolutionary rice cooker reduces starch out of rice, thereby lowering calorie content and glycemic load per serving. The media launch was attended by members of the press and online bloggers. Dubbed as the only healthy rice cooker in the world, Grayns’ patented technology allows cooking rice scientifically the way it’s meant to be cooked. Undergoing a 4-stage cooking process called RevoCook, the rice is first gelatinized through thermosense—the setting of the right temperature to rid the rice of excess starch.

The debonding stage follows, where the gelatinous temperature is intuitively held until most of the excess starch is removed from the rice. The next phase transudes and drains the dissolved starch from the colander, seeping down to the starch collection tray at the bottom of the cooker. Finally, rice is demoisturized to make it fluffy, healthy, and delicious.

As a brand ambassador of the product, Kevin Co, CEO of Grayns Philippines, has been advocating a healthy lifestyle since he brought the revolutionary rice cooker to the Philippines. Co is proud to say that Grayns rice cooker is highly recommended by nutritionists and doctors to reduce the risk of diabetes, obesity, and heart disease. “This is the rice cooker for those with type 2 diabetes and those suffering from obesity and want to lose weight,” Co says. Grayns comes at a steep price but the health and other benefits are enough to commensurate for it. It removes unhealthy excess starch from rice and effectively lowers glycemic and caloric load in rice. It’s very user-friendly, multi-functional as it can cook pasta, potatoes, noodles and other starch sources even rice recipes. It has a memory function that lets you personalize the rice setting you want based on softness and moisture level. The body is heavy-duty and aesthetically designed, with interiors made of 100% stainless steel.

The media launch held at Shangri-La’s Mactan function room also featured Joseph Pagulayan, a fitness guru who explained the need for a healthy lifestyle and how Grayns rice cooker can help you achieve it. He cautioned that a sedentary lifestyle leads to many health problems and encouraged everyone to be active. Both Co and Pagulayan answered questions from the media. Grayns healthy rice cooker is now available at Abenson and Rustans for P27,000.

What is Glutathione?
Glutathione is a complete body health supplement that provides total health and well-being. It is also recognized for its health benefits for skin by lightening it from inside and out giving you evenly toned and lighter skin.

Thiocell is a Glutathione, it was launched at Watsons stores nationwide. Surprisingly, the sales were doing well since then. I personally love Watson's because I think it is the best one-stop health, wellness and beauty shop in our country. It houses different brands for almost everything that I need. That is why Thiocell has a good home with Watson's.

People have been curious of what Thiocell is? Is it just another brand of Glutathione in the market that might be expensive but not effective? Surprisingly, curiosity leads to customer acceptance because Thiocell was effective. More and more people were talking about how it works and why they love the product which leads to more sales because of satisfied customers. And because of that, recognition was given to this product.

Thiocell has been given an award as “The Most Successful Product” at the Watsons HWB (Health, Wellness and Beauty Awards) for 2017. This goes to show that more and more people trust this product.

Why is Thiocell different from other Glutathione supplements?
Thiocell highly differentiates itself and is successful as a skin whitening product because of its Unique Delivery System and absorption rate.

Thiocell is the first and only Glutathione in Lozenge form which allows glutathione to be absorbed by the body Quickly, Safely and Effectively as reported in the International Journal of Dermatology.

I am excited to try Thiocell and will do a video blog on my first take. Watch out for it at www.youtube.com/c/MisisNikolePM

Until my next blog post my dear readers.

Manila, Philippines, July 14, 2017 - Dina Dela Paz- Stalder, President & CEO of Stalder Group of Companies, has been selected one of the 100 Most Influential Filipina Woman in the World (Global FWN100™) by the Filipina Women's Network.

The Global FWN100 Award™ recognizes 100 women of Philippine ancestry who are changing the face of leadership in the global workplace, having reached status for outstanding work in their respective fields and are recognized for their achievement and contributions to society, femtorship and legacy. Dina Dela Paz-Stalder was selected from an outstanding field of nominees from around the world.

The Most Influential Filipina Women in the World Award - FOUNDER & PIONEER award category

This award honors Filipina women in their capacities as the chief executive, president, executive director or founder of a company, community organization, non-profit, or business venture that they helped start, build or significantly grow. This award category is for the trailblazers who have marshaled resources and applied innovative practices, processes and/or technologies in a new and groundbreaking way to address significant business or organizational opportunity.

“The Global FWN100™ women are dynamic entrepreneurs, rising stars under age 35, practitioners, behind-the-scene leaders, community, government and corporate managers and executives who have moved through the ranks in large organizations, nonprofits, and government agencies. They are inspiring examples of women doing extraordinary work who will motivate our youth and future leaders,” said Marily Mondejar, Founder and CEO of the Filipina Women’s Network. “They were selected based on the size and scope of their positions, influence in their industries and their communities, board affiliations and other leadership roles.”

The Global FWN100 Award™ is a working recognition award with a meaningful purpose:  FWN’s 2020 Vision: a Filipina woman leader in every sector of the global economy. The awardees are asked tore-invent herself by femtoring (female mentoring) a young Filipina woman and bring her to the Filipina Leadership Global Summit on October 25-29, 2017 in Toronto, Canada at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre.

“Dina Dela Paz-Stalder is now a valued partner in helping FWN develop the Filipina community's pipeline of qualified leaders to increase the odds that some will rise to the "president" position in all sectors of the global economy," added Dr. Maria Beebe, FWN’s Board Chair. "We gather all these amazing women at the Filipina Summit to inspire each other and create synergy. We interview each awardee so that their collective stories of how they disrupted their professional and personal lives will be part of the largest recorded diaspora in modern times."

“The summit’s theme this year is Filipina Women: Leading. Advocating. Impacting. Seeing all the Awardees on stage during the gala awards ceremony assures me that the future of our young Filipina sisters is solid,” said Susie Quesada, President of Ramar Foods and FWN President. “Awardees often share this inspiring evening with their mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sons, spouses, partners, young women and men, mentors and bosses from their organizations. They all come on stage to celebrate her.”

"I feel overwhelmed that I have been awarded for the Most Influential Filipina Woman in the World Award: Founder & Pioneer. I did not expect that they're going to give me this opportunity to show my capability as a Filipino and as a woman in inspiring business entrepreneurs. Now, I am more motivated to encourage more people with my story - from my humble beginnings to the dazzling height of success. May we all continue to work together, nurture and empower this unique group, FWN" says Dina Dela Paz-Stalder.

Same Blood, Different Talents, All Music.
We are the future, and nothing can stop us
Bringing FUN back to OPM

SOLABROS.com are brothers. Born and raised in the urban neighborhood of Mandaluyong City, Philippines, they are the children of multi-talented, multi awarded musician Jerome Abalos. Jerome was the singer behind the monster hit song “Larawang Kupas.” He was also the co-founder and front man of the 90s thrash metal band “Death By Stereo” and progressive rock band “Majesty.”

Jerome Abalos released 3 solo albums and 2 studio albums with his band. Death by Stereo’s self titled debut album was certified gold record while his solo self-titled debut album featuring the monster hit song, LARAWANG KUPAS, was a certified platinum.

Nurtured by music from the moment they were conceived, Sean, Zack, and Shane grew up with the melodic sound of the keyboards, the ripping sound of heavy metal guitar solos, and the thunder-like beat of drums and percussions. Raised and mentored by a multi-talented, multi genre musical artist of a father and fueled by their mutual interest in rock and roll, heavy metal, progressive rock, and alternative rock, Solabros.com can be considered as one of the rising stars in the Philippines, be it local or in international music scene.

The band was formed in 2015 by singer, songwriter, and keyboard player Sean Abalos and his younger brother, lead guitarist and singer Zachary Jeymz. From the moment Sean and Zack held their instruments and started playing, it was clear that they had a future in the local and international music scene. The band was soon joined by the band’s drummer Shane Steven, the youngest of the Abalos brothers, who gave the band his powerful Lars Ulrich-like drumming style. “Initially, we just wanted to be a band,” recalled Sean. “But when Shane officially joined us and started making all those power beats and double basses, our paradigm shifted and our aspiration changed overnight. We now wanted, not just to
be any band, we now wanted to be among the best bands locally and overseas.”

Though with different personalities, Sean, Zack, and Shane’s talents blended and clicked. In 2016, Solabros.com joined their first “Battle of the Bands,” their first public appearance. Since then, the trio had regular gigs in several bars in Manila and Luzon.

Sean Francis Abalos (vocals, keyboards)
He is currently finishing his bachelor’s degree at Jose Rizal University in Mandaluyong City.

After harnessing his God-given singing talent, Sean was trained on keyboardsand has been loving his new skill ever since.

Zachary Jeymz Abalos (guitars, vocals)
He was exposed to music at a very young age. He is a currently in junior high school.

With the encouragement of his dad, Zack trained himself to play the guitar, starting with acoustic, he leveled up almost overnight and has since mastered the electric guitar.

At only 16 years old, and only a year of playing, Zack has become a guitar phenom. His skills were way beyond his years.

Shane Steven Abalos (drums, vocals)
The youngest of the Abalos brothers. At 14 years old, Shane is currently a freshman in high school.

With his passion for drums and percussion, Shane was initially trained to play the drums by his father. Shane focused with his training and has dramatically improved his drums and vocals skills.

At only 14 years old and
only a year of playing, Shane can now be considered a drummer par excellence.

For the longest time, the global fast-food scene has one strict rule for beef patties: they only belong between burger buns.

But in a country like the Philippines, a meal can never be considered a proper one without our favorite grain: rice. Most of the local dishes go well with a serving of white rice and a splash of flavorful sauce or broth.

In 1995, Jollibee—the country’s top fast-food chain and proud homegrown Pinoy brand—brought together a fast-food favorite and a Pinoy staple to create a new classic offering: the Burger Steak. Made with 100% beef patty seasoned to suit Pinoy tastes, drizzled with a flavorful mushroom gravy (a time-tested flavor pairing used the world over: beef and mushroom), and served with white rice, the Burger Steak was an instant hit for diners looking for their kanin-and-ulam fix.

“The Jollibee Burger Steak was inspired by something that many Pinoys know to be true: a flavor-packed, saucy ulam served with steamed white rice really hits the spot,” said Cathleen Capati, Jollibee Core Category Marketing Director. “But that’s the beauty of that idea. It seemed so simple, but nobody else did that over twenty years ago. For me, Jollibee only proved that we truly know and understand the Pinoy palate.”

Today, the Burger Steak remains to be a consistent Jollibee best-seller, with hundreds and hundreds of meals sold each day in 1,000 Jollibee stores nationwide. The rich classic flavors that this dish delivers is just one reason for its enduring popularity, as the fact that it has remained very affordable for over two decades continues to attract customers, too.

“Aside from the Burger Steak delivering a truly beefy-linamnam, saucy-sarap dining experience every time, it delivers great value, too,” added Ms. Capati. “For only 50 pesos, you get delicious ulam and rice for a truly satisfying meal.”

Experience the beefy-linamnam and saucy-sarap goodness of the Burger Steak for yourself today. The Jollibee Burger Steak is available for dine-in, take-out, delivery, and drive-thru transactions, with prices starting at P50.00* for the Solo Meal.

For more information on your classic Jolly favorites, like www.facebook.com/JollibeePhilippines or follow @Jollibee on Twitter and Instagram.

* Prices may vary across different locations.

Hello mga misis, today's Filipino Food ulam is Giniling! This Pinoy ulam is special for me kasi favorite ito ni Tatay. A little trivia, some years ago nung jowa levels pa lang kami ni Tatay, I asked him what is his favorite ulam, He answered, he can eat Giniling everyday. Ayun na mga marse, pag uwi ko, mega ask ako sa Tita ko na magaling magluto to cook giniling the next day so I can watch. A bit tiring ang preparation, mega tadtad ng vegetables but then the end product is worth it. And of course whenever sinasabi ni Tatay na ang sarap ng uto ni Nanay, pak na kahit amoy bawangpa ang mga daliri ko lol!

Here's how I cook Tatay's favorite Giniling, please watch:

Hi friends, here's another feature on the Cooking Misis.

Last weekend, 2nd Avenue invited me for a cooking class, and for the love of cooking of course I said I will be there. It was held at the Mushrooms Kitchen School inside Valle Verde 5. The place is just enough for a whole class. I love the set-up, the Chef's table is fully equipped with a TV monitor for students to easily see what is being done in front.

Everyone got excited know that what we'll be doing was Japanese Cuisine. When the recipe papers were handed over, I giggled out of excitement. We will be cooking Japanese Rice, Tempura, California Maki and Chicken Tempura for the whole afternoon. I was enjoying the whole time following instructions from our Chef instructor, no pressure, she was so patient and goes around to check and give tips especially on the Tempura. All the hard work was worth it because we finally created our own Bento Box with all our dishes.

I can describe it as an afternoon of cooking with friends, and we were totally happy with the results. Authentic Japanese Cuisine made by us. Super proud of myself for pulling this off and excited to try it at home.

Sharing with you my video blog about the event. Enjoy!

7-Eleven gives back
As 7-Eleven celebrates being part of every Filipino’s daily lives, 7-Eleven also reached out to our brothers
and sisters who were affected by the conflict in Marawi. Donation Boxes were deployed in all corporate
7-Eleven stores in Mindanao.

Employees and customers had the
opportunity to share their blessings to help
the victims by providing them with food and
other in kind donations. This charitable drive
started last June and will last until July 11.
Philippine Seven Corporation (PSC) also
partnered with PhilSeven Foundation Inc.
(PFI) and Philippine Business for Social
Progress (PBSP) to support the 7-Eleven
Global Environmental Campaign by sustaining
a tree planting project at the Marikina
Watershed at the Brgy. Calawis, Antipolo City.

Employees get to volunteer, along with community to enhance two hectares of an agroforestry site
through the planting of 1550 fruit-bearing trees. With this activity, 7 Eleven hopes to improve the
biodiversity of the Marikina Watershed and provide at least 20 households with additional income.

Pioneering Convenience Retailing
The roots of the 7-Eleven we know and love today can be traced back to 1927, 7-Eleven began when an
employee of Southland Ice Company in Dallas started selling milk, eggs and bread from the ice dock, and
operated between 7 am and 11 pm.
7-Eleven is the world’s largest convenience retail chain that operates, franchises, and licenses in more
than 61,000 stores worldwide, and over 2,000 stores in the Philippines. The purveyor in convenience
retailing adds two new stores every two hours to their worldwide operations.

Kidzoona is the best play place so far that is toddler and budget friendly. So I thought we could have a playdate together with my "Kumare's" and their toddlers too. This was our first and plans to do it every month and adding some more friends from our previous company where we all got to know each other.

Here's a quick tour of the Kidzoona play area and a few tips about the place. Enjoy the video!
