It is a refreshing take to have a blogcon with Ms Sylvia Sanchez in the panel. Ms Sylvia was very passionate about the movie because she is also a mom and a very supportive one same as her role as Mama Mina in the movie. The trailer seems to all about crying and the struggles of a mother-daughter relationship but there is an absolute twist to it and that is why we have to watch.

This is not just a mother with a millenial child kind of story. It actually tackles problems and situations in general. That is why I am so excited to watch it on January 17. Take your mom out to go see the movie and as Ms Sylvia said, there are many realizations in this film plus it is impossible to not cry so bring a lot of tissue.

See you at the cinemas.

By the way, I love the writer and director of this film, very passionate in sharing and answering our questions. Karen Reyes carried a ton of good vibes, Diego Loyzaga is just chill while Heaven Peralejo is not just a pretty face. All good.

Ken Chan and Barbie Forteza were super excited during the Premiere Night of their movie “This Time I’ll Be Sweeter” I was personally there to witness it and I will be attaching the video clip on down below:

I will now go ahead and do my first impressions on the movie:
Both Ken and Barbie were loveable on cam. Ken looks the matinee, kayumanggi pinoy boy next door while Barbie is so flawless and had cute outfits.

Acting wise, they were very natural and kinda made me feel they were just my friends.

Casting was good but there were scenes that I personally think was not necessary.

I love Jai and I know she is naturally funny together with her twin. But in the movie there were lines that I know should’ve made us laugh or giggle but I didn’t.

Finally the ending, (spoiler alert) it was okay but for me when Barbie said the line “Gusto kong umoo… ayaw ko magpdala sa emotion… parang wala akong natutunan.” I was expecting that it was a “NO” and then fast forward to 2 years after and then the “YES”. Why? To show that true love waits and that they both carried a lesson from their mistakes.

Nevertheless the two achieved the “Kilig Factor” and really registered beautifully on screen. Congratulations to the whole cast and crew, to Regal Films for another good movie! Cheers!

FYI: I felt that the “bubong” scenes were the best. (It was shot in our neighborhood lol!)

My heart is weak when it comes to horror movies. But I can watch if I am with a lot of friends or family who can make me feel secure. That's why I love premiere nights especially this one with the Debutantes movie. It is one heck of a thriller! So just to not spoil anyone reading this, I will just give out information about my reactions and what I felt during the movie.

The kind of attack that they did to scare us was something different. I wasn't able to detect when something scary was gonna happen. The suspense and the surprises were not the usual. The frightening musical scoring was there but the thrill of when something is gonna happen made us all scream. This movie made my breathing so intense, I can't actually keep still on my chair, not knowing when will the next attack happen.

For the story, it is quite predictable, although the scaring made it different. But most of all The Debutantes is not just a Horror Film, it gave a lesson about bullying which is so rampant in this generation. All in all I think the movie will be a success, the girls are really good in portraying their respective roles so bravo! Congrats to Regal Films and the whole cast.

Cheers! All smiles and happy faces filled the District 8 venue for the Victory Party of Woke Up Like This. Present on this day was Regal Entertainment's matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde and the ever hands-on producer Ms Roselle Monteverde; of course the cast headed by Vhong Navarro. Who else was on the party? Watch the video as I give you an exlcusive glimpse of the party.
