Hi Mommies, I am excited to share with you a product that was sent to us by Colgate. I honestly didn't know that Colgate has toothpaste for kids, they have the one for babies which is at 0-12 months old and for the kids ages 3-5 years old. I got excited because we've been trying different brands of kid's toothpaste and we can't seem to find the one that we'll stick with. Thankfully we have Colgate and the best thing is that it is now available on Shopee! To know more, I made a quick first impression review of the Kid's toothpaste plus a taste test which you can watch below. Enjoy and let's all have that Colgate Smile.

The COVID-19 Pandemic intensifies the Philippine’s battle against Double Burden of Malnutrition. Double Burden of Malnutrition is defined by World Health Organization (WHO) as “the coexistence of undernutrition along with overweight and obesity, or diet-related non communicable diseases, within individuals, households and populations, and across the life course.”

The limited distribution and access to food supplies aggravate the plight of poor and low income Filipino households to sustain each person’s required nutrients through healthy meals. On the other hand, home confinement due to the mandated community quarantine may cause more people to not only restrict their physical activities but also to overeat and/or consume more food with empty calories as part of coping with stress and/or boredom.

Given the importance of maintaining healthy diets to sustain our health and immunity against viruses and bacteria, we should turn to the practice of Pinggang Pinoy® as a viable safeguard to protect our family from diseases.

Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation (APC) introduced “Mag-Pinggang Pinoy® Tayo 7-day Menu Challenge” as a way to encourage homemakers to serve variety of balanced meals to their families. Homemakers could access the Mag-Pinggang Pinoy® Tayo 7-day menu plan at www.ajinomoto.com.ph and facebook.com/CookmunitybyAjinomotoPH. This is part of the company’s “Eat Well, Live Well. Stay Well.” campaign to provide Filipino families with practical tips on proper nutrition, recipe menu and fitness activities to cope, stay well and enjoy life despite current COVID-19 situation.

Ajinomoto’s 7-day menu plan is composed of complete meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each meal provides recipe suggestions for Healthy & Delicious Pinggang Pinoy® Recipes that are easy-to-do and affordable. These recipes are simple, solutions to serve enjoyable Pinggang Pinoy® meals.  Homemakers could make use of their extra time to purchase widely available and inexpensive vegetables and fruits to complement rice beyond the usual supply of canned goods. Ajinomoto’s recipes make common ingredients more palatable like tofu sisig, meaty pechay picadillo, pork tapa and tomatoes, ensaladang talbos ng kamote, sweet and sour galunggong and many more. Here are three (3) recipe samplers done in three (3) easy steps:

Meaty Pechay Picadillo: 1) SAUTÉ onion, garlic and ground pork and mix in carrots, green peas and pechay. 2) SEASON with pepper, soy sauce and AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix. 3) COOK for 1 minute more.

Tofu Sisig: 1) FRY tofu until golden brown and set aside. 2) SAUTÉ ginger, onion and garlic, add fried tofu and liver spread and mix well. 3) SEASON with sugar and PORKSAVOR® All-in-One Seasoning mix and add chili peppers.

Pork tapa with tomatoes: 1) MARINATE pork in water, sugar, soy sauce, pepper and SARSAYA® Oyster Sauce for an hour or overnight. 2) SAUTÉ onion, garlic and pork. 3) BOIL. Pour the marinate mixture and boil until mixture is thick.

25-year old Marvin Ramirez, aka Marvin Fojas, has recently found
fame online. While he spends his days working as a Licensed Pharmacist, he discovered that
his true passion is content creation. “More on the creative side kasi ako na person, so fulfilled
ako pag may ginawa ako na something creative,” he shares.
Marvin posts original videos on TikTok that showcase his personal brand of comedy. His
situational skits on student life are both relatable and hilarious. These are often inspired by his
experiences as a public school student, but he also gets ideas from comments and messages
sent by fans and followers with their own funny student life stories to share.
Here’s one of Marvin Fojas’ student life comedy videos.
 Different Types of Late Students

Of all the themes that he could use for his videos, Marvin chose student life, believing that many

people can enjoy this topic. “Well, noong una, I wanted to create content na maraming makaka-
relate since syempre lahat naman tayo student or naging student,” he says. “Mas mae-express
ko yung sarili ko and at the same time, maraming makakarelate kahit matanda na. Syempre
ma-re-reminisce yung mga student life nila and kahit yung mga current students, makaka-relate
din.”

When an idea for a new video comes up, Marvin makes sure to write it down so that he won’t
forget it. This bank of ideas comes in handy, especially since he believes in posting frequently
and consistently. “Parang spontaneous lang ako eh. Wala akong plano talaga kung ano yung
gagawin ko bukas, pero once na may magpop-out na idea sa’kin, itatake note ko.” He adds,
“Nag-iipon din ako pero hindi ako yung totally planned out lahat. But I consistently post content.
I posted a minimum of 2-3 videos a day for over 2 months without a miss. Consistency is key!”
For those who are just starting out as content creators, Marvin has this piece of advice to share.
“Yung message ko sa kanila is to pursue. Still do their passion, pero hindi naman necessarily na
iiwan na nila yung ginagawa nila. Syempre hindi lang naman sa work, hindi lang naman sa
profession nauubos yung lahat ng oras natin. We still have time outside of our work, so ipursue
pa rin natin yung passion natin, kahit pagsabayin. If you really love something, you will find time
to do what you love.”

Here’s Marvin doing what he loves – Making others laugh through his content.

As for why he chooses to pursue his own passion for content creation, Marvin says, that the
positive feedback from his fans and followers keeps him going, especially during the months
under ECQ. He tells us, “Maraming nag-ko-comment, maraming nag-me-message na dahil daw
sa ’kin nawawala yung boredom nila. Yung iba may pinagdadaanan, may anxiety issues, may
depression. Parang hindi ko in-expect na ganun kalaki pala ang impact ko sa mga nanununod
sa akin. Kaya mas makakapag-drive rin ng passion yung mga ganun.”

Global technology innovator LG Electronics has been one of the most active members of the private sector in responding to the COVID-19 crisis. The South Korean electronics conglomerate has played an active role in rising to the challenge posed by the global pandemic. On the local front, LG has been providing much needed assistance to the frontliners in various LGUs combatting the virus.

Recognizing the need for safe, straightforward, and comfortable testing booths for the frontliners, LG Philippines collaborated with Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers -Las Piñas-Muntinlupa (PSME-LPM) Chapter, in order to provide two sample collection booths to the Las Piñas Health Office. The summer heat, combined with the frontliners’ full body PPEs, can cause thermal stress especially since they have to stand for almost 8 hours inside the sampling booth. To help with this, LG outfitted the booths with window-type air-conditioners, which operate at sound levels as low as 44dB, eliminating unnecessary noise for smooth operation, as well as an anti-bacterial filter to trap harmful particles and bacteria.

LG Managing Director Inkwun Heo stresses the important of comfort for the frontliners, stating “Our brave health workers are risking their lives on a daily basis. We at LG are committed to give our all in giving them relief and comfort while in the line of duty. It’s the least we can do for their heroic deeds”.
