I can't believe it myself that this young man will allegedly take his own life...

I remembered him during his Starstruck days, and thought he could really stay in the business and this tragic day happened...

As per initial reports the Starstruck graduate and a former ABS-CBN talent who is Tyrone Perez allegedly committed suicide. Reports also say that he shot himself inside an abandoned car in Valenzuela.

Rest in Peace young man
Tyron Perez (September 14, 1985 – December 29, 2011)

and then I though of another Perez who also passed away at a young age we remember AJ Perez

Tyrone Perez: Rest In Peace

If there is such a term as organized clutter well that's how I would call my own. I find it easy for me to look for my things under piles of well, trashie looking stuff lol! when I get the time to clean and organize that's when I can't locate whatever I was looking for and it makes me go insane and once again mess up everything. But when I went through the 3M products I realized maybe I still have a chance to really stick to organizing my things, they have lots of products especially designed for me I think haha. My favorite? Post It's I never thought that these cuties were really a brand name and having called them as such really means that they have captured their market. These products are under one big umbrella the 3M Company and I never realized scotch tapes and scotch brites was part of their amazing products so what now is my 3M project?

I want for 2012 to have my office workstation organized using 3M products, they have a wide range of office supplies that you can use and at the same time maybe a cute table display because of their fun colors here's a picture of my desk and come 2012 I will be posting the new look

Joint Press Release:

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and the Philippine's largest bakery chain, Julie's Bakeshop, have entered into an innovative partnership to fight hunger in the Philippines.

Julie's Bakeshop is launching a new product called Julie's Bayan Sliced Bread, and will donate two pesos to WFP for every loaf of Julie's Bayan Sliced Bread sold.

While nationwide in scope, proceeds from the initiative will exclusively benefit school children in conflict-affected areas of Central Mindanao through WFP's Emergency School Feeding (ESF) programme, which provides on-site nutritious meals in targeted elementary schools in Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, and Maguindanao. WFP implements its school feeding programmes in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Department of Education as well as the non-government organization Community Family Services International.

The ESF programme helps to bring children back to school after a protracted period of  displacement in 2008/2009. With the participation of Parent=Teacher Associations, it promotes a sense of normalcy in the lives of the families of the school children and enhances their participation in class.

"Giving back to society is part of our corporate ethic at Julie's Bakeshop, and this is shown by our latest partnership with the Worl Food Programme," said Joseph R. Gandionco, president and CEO of Julie's Franchise Corporation. "More than just bringing bread to the Filipino people, we want to enhance Filipino lives. We consider it a true measure of success by placing a healthy relationship with our customers alongside business excellence."

Julie's Bayan Bread is packaged with a WFP logo, raising awareness of WFP's central role in the fight against hunger and providing customers with an easy way to get involved.

"WFP is extremely grateful for this initiative from Julie's bakeshop which will significantly boost our efforts to provide nutritious school meals to vulnerable children in Central Mindanao," said WFP Philippines Country Director Stephen Anderson. "This programme helps keep children in school and gives them a fighting chance for education, which is key to overcoming poverty and hunger."

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, there are around 12 million  undernourished people nationwide. Julie's Bakeshop supports efforts to reduce their number in Mindanao, where WFP is currently assisting around 80,000 school children. "We hope this partnership can pave the way for further opportunities for the private sector and WFP Philippines to fight hunger in the country," said Gandionco.

* Julie's Bakeshop
Julie's bakeshop is the country's largest bakeshop chain. Founded by Julia Gandionco in 1981, Julie's Bakeshop today has more than 500 bakeshops. The opening of the first full franchise Julie's Bakeshop on June 24,1998, in Camiguin Island was a trend-setting event - one of the keys to Julie's Bakeshop's exceptional boom that solidified it's nationwide market reach and leadership position in the bakeshop industry. Now regarded as among the hottest franchise businesses for entrepreneurs, Julie's bakeshop provides full management and marketing support to franchisees through its corporate organization, Julie's Franchise Corporation (JFC). Julie's Bakeshop is commited to serve quality hot breads to Filipinos.

* World Food Programme (WFP)
WFP is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. each year, on average, WFP feeds more than 90 million people in more than 70 countries, WFP now provides RSS feeds to help journalists keep up with the latest press releases, videos and photos as they are published on WFP.org .

Her name was once the talk of men in my workplace, she's pretty, cute nice voice, hot are but a few of the descriptions they had for her, and I didn't bother or maybe I wasn't that interested. They battle on how to properly say her name I was quiet. And the day came that she was one of the few who is given the chance to have an album launch. May i present the name I wasn't even interested in and now proud to correctly state it as Ms. Marie Digby (Mari-ei).

I find it very fulfilling every time my hubby and I travel to different places here in our country and purchase local products. A lot of times we are thrilled on how amazing it is that we actually could do a lot with what we have here. It makes me super proud. So if you are proud to be Pinoy let's go and support Filipino Brands at the Global Pinoy Bazaar.

Deal sites are very much appreciated nowadays, I must admit I am one of the many who check through them every so often to see if there's something interesting or if there's anything that I need which I could possibly get for a lower price. Yes I am an online shopper, I still remembered a few years back when I registered my first ever online shopping account with eBay.ph I was then super excited and had my purchases delivered in our office, the guard on duty got used to it that he would always tease me "ma'am may package galing abroad ka nanaman". I also thought of selling online but later on figured out I am more of a shopper.

eBay philippines plus kuponan a sure win deal!

I believe I am a smart shopper, when in the supermarket I make sure I only get what we need and I am one loyal consumer, if a product satisfies me for sure it will never be out of my list. Sometimes I don't even care what the price is as long as I know it's worth the quality.

After their Soap Opera Hit "Mara Clara" comes this very special offering from Star Cinema which brings Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes together on the Big Screen. This would be an exciting movie since the two young starts have top rated prime time to think that "Mara Clara" was a remake. So this proves just one thing that they can make it on their own and thus having this movie...

The past few days have been very disheartening for me and my family. As you know I have been a subject of a viral video that showed my helplessness during a trying moment. As it stands right now, I have several hate pages in Facebook and Twitter with hurtful and derogatory messages attacking my person. The reputation that I built the past years has been besmirched. A bad day has now turned into wounded feelings and sleepless nights for me and my family.

I have been silent the past few days as I want this to go away soon but not before saying sorry and thank you to people who matter.

I would like to apologize for my behavior that was seen on nationwide television and now on the internet. It was unfortunate that I was caught on camera immediately after an overwhelmingly stressful mishap.

I would like to again sincerely thank those who braved the flood to help a distraught stranger like me. Their selfless act reminded me of how dependable Filipinos are in times of crisis.

Lastly, I would like to thank my family, friends and all of those who showed empathy, consideration and support throughout these trying times. You have given me strength and courage to rise above and be a better person.

Sincerely yours,

Christopher Lao

* I must admit, so far this is the most comfortable and stress free press con I've ever been.
Why? it's Ms. Eugene Domingo of course. I hate myself that I was late for the call time and was a bit shy to Flow. But then he said no worries, so I got my lunch a quick lunch that is since the press con as announced was starting in like about 5 min. Now I am excited for this movie, and I truly admire Ms. Eugene because of her talent and she is so smart... I hope people will get to watch the movie despite the heavy rains because for sure - money will not go to waste - pure talent at it's finest. Go Uge! *

Chef Kai

I am a Filipino food lover period. But sometimes I go overboard cooking the same usual dish and would  stress me thinking about what to cook later, tomorrow on the weekend and so on. Whenever I try to look for recipes that I could experiment I would usually end up not cooking them. Why? Some key ingredients are either hard to find nor expensive for someone like me who needs to budget properly to be able to save for my wedding soon.

And so in search for recipes I came across the SM Hypermarket Master Chefs, this is something new that SM is currently offering for everyone. On this edition of the Master Chefs, we have Chef Kai a Diploma holder of Professional Culinary Arts Center for Asian Culinary Studies. She is a retail Chef from San Miguel Purefoods Culinary Center handling Magnolia Poultry, Purefoods Hormel and San Mig Coffee. With so much more luck San Miguel Foods Corporation is the sponsor for this event.

What is the SM Hypermarket Master Chef's event all about? This is an event wherein SM Hypermarket opens another gate for their shoppers to stop, have a seat and learn some dishes that are new, yet affordable and easy to prepare for the whole family to enjoy. Just what I needed, plus bonus is using San Miguel Foods Corporation products as their main ingredients makes the process all the more easy since these products are available in almost all supermarkets nationwide.

So here are some recipes we could all try and enjoy =)

Today, 26th of July, a few minutes past 1 AM, Some parts of Luzon and Manila felt another earthquake Magnitude 5.9 . My heart is still a bit nervous since the last time I felt the quake was when I was still in grade school so feeling it all over again makes me worry.

I am in the office working the night shift and was writing down notes when i felt the earth shaking, silence and then people from other departments started talking about it, it was indeed an earthquake, I fixed my bag just in case we needed to go out. For a while it was kinda "woah did you feel that" moment but after that I feel scared and after this post I will pray that we may all be safe... hope youd o too...

Let's all be alert... God Bless us

*My first ever showbiz press conference, I was nervous and a bit confused on how to go about going inside the compound, oh well good thing is I got in contact with one of my blogger friend Lariza, so we went into texting that day on where and how to meet up - MRT station! After we got off the Quezon Ave station we saw another blogger, Jeman so we decided to take the tricycle since it was too hot to walk. And finally entered the ELJCC Building.*

It was an exciting experience since I get to see actors and actresses in person, have their pictures taken and be near them for a photo too. That experience alone made my day =). Thanks to Flow for the invite =)

Samsung once again shows no sign of stopping ... another Breakthrough in the world of Technology!

Press Release:

As if the latest announcement of the latest smartphone, the Galaxy S II and the newest tablets, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 were not enough to put a twinkle in our eyes, here comes Samsung once again announcing another deliciously desirable gadget, the Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 5.0.

This latest edition to the Galaxy line-up, in the “tech-savvy world” is known as a mobile internet device (MID). What, if you may ask, is a MID? The new Galaxy S Wifi 5.0, for lack of a better description, is the beautiful marriage of a touch MP3 player and an AndroidTM tablet. It has the processing power of a Galaxy Tab and the portability and sound clarity of a touch MP3 player. It has access to hundreds of thousands of apps on the AndroidTM Market and have the stunning visual display you would wish on your mp3 player. In other words, it’s the“MINI  TABLET” for the entertainment enthusiast.

the collection... so far
*we won* - updated 8/4/2011

here's a bunch of coca-cola stuff that Jay (my fiance`) and i are collecting. A few coke bottles with different coca-cola logos. Coke in cans my hubby seriously collects because he said these cans has something different in each of them: logo, design, the shade of red he really spends time looking into these cans whenever we go to the grocery plus these cans are empty yes they are sealed but empty we created a hole underneath it to be able to remove the content because we thought it might burst on it's own because of pressure issues if not removed. And finally the coca-cola bottles from McDonald's. The first time it hit the stores we had a hard time completing them since of course you still need to buy a meal before you could actually add Php25 and purchase it (budget issues) plus the fact that sometimes all the colors were not available, The second batch that came out we almost gave up because we only had like 2 pcs of it. Then one morning before Jay comes home from work he called me up and told me that McDonald's near our office has a complete set available and people are going crazy so immediately we decided to just go get them... he ended up coming home carrying the complete set of glasses plus 6 sets of hamdesal meal hahaha.

*some glasses lost their boxes (wet) because of typhoon Ondoy

Jay and our collectibles
mug and shirt bought from ukay-ukay

space available for the next batch

Wondering what this is all about????

crossing our fingers to win this =)
The new set of MCDonald's Coca-Cola Glasses is coming in July 2nd and we want them all and if we could get it for FREE it will be a Blast!!! A great addition to our growing Coca-Cola collection.

I never thought I'd be an avid fan of the new generation Mara Clara. I watched the original teleserye then played by Judy Ann Santos as Mara and Gladys Reyes as Clara, so I thought nothing or no one could beat that tandem. Surprisingly Kathryn Bernardo (Mara) and Julia Montes (Clara) was superb. Personally I didn't want to watch this at first since I did already watch the original one so I thought same story just different people playing the roles. So when it started I ignored the first few episodes. Then came that one night that I stopped and watched out of curiosity and at the same time people in the office were talking about it and so I said I'll give it a shot.

That one night became the start, i realized these kids were good, actually the whole cast was portraying their roles very well, they added a few characters but it works. Aling Lupe (Gina Pareno) as ever was superb, Dimples Romana (Alvira) and Bobby Andrews (Amante) played their roles neatly as the Del Valle couple, Mylene Dizon (Susan) I admire her she is believable, Jhong Hilario (Gary) I enjoyed his character since the original person who played the role of Gary before passed on at the time the teleserye was ongoing so his role was cut short. And of course Mara and Clara who would've known the two teens could actually pull off their roles. They made my teleserye nights even more excting...

But of course  everything has an ending, as they approach their last week, I think to myself oh well I will miss this teleserye, I even can't imagine how will it end I just wanted to feel every episode of it and for sure I am not the only one who will miss them. Goodbye Mara Clara I am so glad in this lifetime of mine I had the opportunity to watch a very good teleserye in two different generations. Till then...The end.

I was browsing through some old photos last night from my phone and look what i got our pictures from last valentines day, i forgot to post since it was on my phone.

As a couple one of our favorite place to eat comfort food is at Jade Palace in Shaw blvd. First because of pork siomai oh how i love the real pork plus shrimp the serving is so good and yummy dipped in soy sauce and calamansi, next is their yang chow fried rice, the serving is enough for two plus ingredients are complete just the way it should be - this awesome duo is our total fave. Also the price is extremely low for a chinese style restaurant and the best thing is it's near our place just one tricycle away.

But then on this night of the 13th of February we decide not to order our awesome duo meal. Why? because they laid this special Valentines Promo on our table and asked us if we'd like to try them... and with a little discussion and "para maiba" we did order...

As expected we were so full because the serving we believe is not just for two it could be for 3 to 4 persons lol! we had to have them wrap the rest for take-out. it was a lovely dinner and the fact that it's our first valentine formal date since when?

Will be sharing with you what we had for that very special day or date lol!

a good deal for a date

Minced Spinach w/ Assorted Seafood Soup
Fish Fillet with Cream Cheese Sauce
Sliced beef with Kangkong

Yang Chow Fried Rice
