Mara Clara... the end

I never thought I'd be an avid fan of the new generation Mara Clara. I watched the original teleserye then played by Judy Ann Santos as Mara and Gladys Reyes as Clara, so I thought nothing or no one could beat that tandem. Surprisingly Kathryn Bernardo (Mara) and Julia Montes (Clara) was superb. Personally I didn't want to watch this at first since I did already watch the original one so I thought same story just different people playing the roles. So when it started I ignored the first few episodes. Then came that one night that I stopped and watched out of curiosity and at the same time people in the office were talking about it and so I said I'll give it a shot.


That one night became the start, i realized these kids were good, actually the whole cast was portraying their roles very well, they added a few characters but it works. Aling Lupe (Gina Pareno) as ever was superb, Dimples Romana (Alvira) and Bobby Andrews (Amante) played their roles neatly as the Del Valle couple, Mylene Dizon (Susan) I admire her she is believable, Jhong Hilario (Gary) I enjoyed his character since the original person who played the role of Gary before passed on at the time the teleserye was ongoing so his role was cut short. And of course Mara and Clara who would've known the two teens could actually pull off their roles. They made my teleserye nights even more excting...



But of course  everything has an ending, as they approach their last week, I think to myself oh well I will miss this teleserye, I even can't imagine how will it end I just wanted to feel every episode of it and for sure I am not the only one who will miss them. Goodbye Mara Clara I am so glad in this lifetime of mine I had the opportunity to watch a very good teleserye in two different generations. Till then...The end.

first formal valentines date - kilig

I was browsing through some old photos last night from my phone and look what i got our pictures from last valentines day, i forgot to post since it was on my phone.

As a couple one of our favorite place to eat comfort food is at Jade Palace in Shaw blvd. First because of pork siomai oh how i love the real pork plus shrimp the serving is so good and yummy dipped in soy sauce and calamansi, next is their yang chow fried rice, the serving is enough for two plus ingredients are complete just the way it should be - this awesome duo is our total fave. Also the price is extremely low for a chinese style restaurant and the best thing is it's near our place just one tricycle away.


But then on this night of the 13th of February we decide not to order our awesome duo meal. Why? because they laid this special Valentines Promo on our table and asked us if we'd like to try them... and with a little discussion and "para maiba" we did order...

As expected we were so full because the serving we believe is not just for two it could be for 3 to 4 persons lol! we had to have them wrap the rest for take-out. it was a lovely dinner and the fact that it's our first valentine formal date since when?

Will be sharing with you what we had for that very special day or date lol!

BDJ Rendezvous: I dream therefore I can...

I wasn't sure at first if I'd join this event since it's my niece's 3rd birthday and I am in charge, plus I can't join the mini contest to be able to qualify because it is usually posted during office hours and facebook is BLOCKED here in the office, unless I'll use the computers in the pantry :)

Today I am excited for tomorrow... i got in they added a few more slots and had the perfect timing that I was online, what's more exciting is I can bring along a friend as long as she also has a BDJ Lifestyle Card... Yehey Melissa is coming with me - excited...pictures to follow after the event :)

mahal kong luneta

I got an official invite on my email to tour Luneta Park, I got excited...
It will be my first time to go there, in my 5 years of working here in the Metro I always thought of visiting Luneta since it is one of known public park here in the Philippines so I am really that curious, plus a friend told be that Luneta is now on renovation in preparation for our National Hero -  Dr. Jose Rizal's 150th Birthday.

people come and go...

i'm feeling it again - the feeling that i am weak of... letting go and saying goodbye

just felt the need to write about it...
for the past few months, good friends are leaving the company and saying goodbye is my ultimate weakness...
sigh i just feel like crying... if i could just let them stay for our good old five years but I have to let go and yes people do come and go... but i know in my heart our friendships will last forever...

Magnolia Ice Cream... I Miss...

Yes it is definitely back! The Ice cream we've been wanting and missing for a long time... Hello Magnolia Ice Cream!

It was a fantastic night... Magnolia Blogger's Party... Executive Dining Room... San Miguel Corporations's Compound.

Party lights check, sound system, food, and the works yeah let's party!



Staretd with a sumptuous dinner buffet with the all time favorite lechon, i personally felt special because of this, imagine we were like VIP's just 50 bloggers and we were served with really good meal

special treat!

So as the party continued we were welcomed by a very good performance of Pilipinas Got Talent finalist - The Velasco Brothers - wonderful number to pump up the event, we were also presented an AVP of how Magnolia will now be back in the scene starting off with their very well missed Magnolia Ice Cream

And what would be more exciting than raffling prizes yay! I was not expecting to win anything since I think I am not really lucky on raffles but to my surprise my name was called yahoo! what did i get huh?
A GC for a Magnolia Ice Cream Gold Label 1.5L and so I was drooling but...

Came out we had free samples as our desserts I tasted first the Pinipig Crunch Sweet Corn Flavor and uhm yeah i instantly loved it and went for another one this time my all time fave Pinipig Crunch original - heaven!

There was also a game and the good thing I didn't join it was an ice cream eating contest brrr I can't do that my teeth is super sensitive hahaha.

Best of all as we ended the party we were surprised that we have a cute lootbag full of Magnolia Ice Cream samples aaaw oh yummyness! My sis Weng and I had a blast!

It just so happened that i passed by the post of 2nd Avenue and saw an ongoing contest... "who was the author of the book where the movie was based" i saw same answers from comments but just to be sure i still searched for an answer and yeah i got the same one too and wrote "Stieg Larsson" and then left the page thinking it will be impossible to win since it will be raffled off through "random.org" ... 


Friday came and upon opening my Fb account... woah I saw my name that I was one of the 5 winners of a movie poster, GC from Vice Ink and 2 advance screening tickets for the movie...


Monday I asked anoffice friend B who is familiar with Makati to please go with me to claim my price... and so we were there Solar Entertainment office... my prizes were given to me and there was a Bonus... The book of the movie was added since they said I was the first to claim and those were just limited. Hurrah! Love it!

UC Jaguars - 2011 National Cheer leading Championship Finals - Champion!

I can't express how proud I am for this Squad, I am a graduate of the University of the Cordilleras and I can say that change has been better for the school.

When I left, buildings were still under construction, and now when I get the time to go home and visit I am in total awe that those power point picture presentations I've seen before is now made to reality.

It has been years, now that I am working here in Manila I seldom get updates on how or what's my school been up to. My gosh now I've seen them on the news, in the internet, and networking sites, the biggest news ever having a cheer leading champion from our school makes me so damn proud that i felt like crying and jumping for joy.

Way to go UC! We are proud of You! yes UCan!!!

the barre 3 experience: fit, fab, free of stress

a well spent saturday afternoon this was... (March 5, 2011)

my sis Wheng and i got to experience the barre 3: ballet, pilates and yoga in one workout.

we were so excited, just a small group of 15 ladies ready to sweat it all out.

location: the Spa - Richmond Hotel, Eastwood

attire: workout clothes and socks

it was hard work indeed but was all worth it!
